I know that driving your organisation forward can be overwhelming. Prior to my current strategy career, I managed a youth work charity, I have also run a social enterprise and I am currently the chair of a learning disability charity. As an ethical leader, the funding landscape, the cost of living crisis and the constant change of politics can mean it is difficult to see the wood for the trees. Truly making a difference is more important now than ever, and bringing people with you on that journey is even more crucial.

I have supported leaders of organisations of all shapes and sizes to become more strategic so that they can make a difference for over 10 years. The Soloco Strategy Sessions

A one day facilitated session where we work through your why’s, what’s and how’s. We break down the difference you want to make, to whom, and who will pay for it. We’ll find that fire in the belly and reignite it.

I turn that day into a simple strategy overview that sits alongside a strategy action plan to monitor its progress. I can then support you over the next year with bi-monthly sessions to support you on your journey, and act as a sounding board or troubleshoot.

FAQs

  • Kirsty has been supporting leaders to be more strategic so they can truly making a difference for over 10 years. She has had many roles as a crowdfunder, strategic marketeer in the branding world, management consultant and fund manager. She has worked with national organisations and little one man bands at all stages of their progression.

  • The sessions last for one day with a generally three hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon .

  • The sessions can be either online or offline, however face to face is generally better. However, if there are accessibility issues we can do a hybrid event. It will be your responsibility to find a venue with the appropriate IT facilities to host the session.

  • You co-ordinate the best date for all of your people. I suggest a 10am start, finishing at 4pm, with a one hour break for lunch. Coffee breaks are built into the session.

  • The session’s outcomes will be in the form of next steps and strategic objectives that the organisation wants to meet. The overview document will provide a context, background, objectives and actions that can be reviewed by your board, and published. This won’t be branded, although we can arrange for this as an add-on.

  • In my experience the team is re-energised, there are clear actions for the future. I have added in implementation sessions as follow ups as these are often the most difficult to keep up over a year for a team when life gets in the way.

  • We will start with an introductory call, and then once we agree to go ahead, we book a session to talk through with you where you are, what you would like to get out of the day and if there are any issues currently being faced within the organisation.

    Once we have determined what are the key points you want to get across, I then design the session.

    We then confirm a date and I can take it from there.

  • For face to face events it includes a planning session, an agenda to send out to participants, the strategy session, write up of notes, strategy overview and developing the action plan template. It also includes my travel and subsistence.

    What isn’t included:

    venue hire, teas/ coffees and lunch costs on the strategy session, completion of the action plan (I will seed it, but it is most effective if it is completed by the operational team).
